The default ~/.password-store doesn't exist on this system (store lives under $XDG_DATA_HOME); without this, pass-secret-service throws PassNotInitialized when the service is started outside a context that already exported PASSWORD_STORE_DIR (e.g. D-Bus activation before sway has imported env). That cascades into protonmail-bridge failing to persist its IMAP creds and Thunderbird seeing ephemeral passwords with 'no such user' errors.
